Why Collect?

Have you ever found something old, like letters, photos or coins? Didn’t wonder where it came from or who used it? Have you ever found a neat rock and wished to keep it, or find some more nice rocks?

Reasons to collect:

Collecting opens new world for you.

Collecting is creative- you choose what to collect; you decide how to display it

Collections tell stories- about object  (where it came from), about you (how you got it)

Collecting teaches- about the history of an object, events, people, nature, society, but it also teaches you how to observe, measure, compare and keep records.

Collecting can advance science- research on how plants evolved, how people behaved

Collecting lets you share it with others and make new friends- and teach them about it

Collecting can surround you with the beautiful objects- you can enjoy in it every day

3.       Care-Do you have enough SPACE? How hard is to RESEARCH your collection? Can you DISPLAY it.

4.       Goal- Why do you want to collect it? The more you learn about the object of your collection, the greater your collection might become.
